Anne Stanley, wife of Edward Sutton, Gent., was the daughter of Peter
Stanley, Esq., of Moor Hall (in Aughton), and Bickerstaffe (in
Ormskirk), Lancashire, by his 2nd wife, Cecily Tarleton. Anne's
baptism and marriage are found in the parish registers of Ormskirk,
Lancashire. Anne was definitely not an illegitimate daughter of Henry
Stanley, Esq. (died 1598). Rather, Henry Stanley was married to Anne's
      half-sister, Margaret Stanley.

Likewise, Anne (Stanley) Sutton was a completely different person from
Anne Blundell. Anne Blundell was Peter Stanley's step-daughter, she
being the daughter of Peter's 3rd wife, Jane Leigh, widow of Richard
